Six persons were apprehended on Feb 19, 2018 for alleged illegal fishing in the seawaters of Roxas City and Panay town. The team Roxas City police and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) in Panay town apprehended fishing boat FV Renier owned by Borato Orquila of Brgy. Botongon Estencia, Iloilo while fishing in the waters of Panay using active fishing gears. The apprehended persons are Ronal Lopez, 28, boat captain and resident of Brgy. Botongon, and crewmember Hohn Paul Memes, 20, also of Brgy. Botongon.
