Coinciding with the 120 Independence Day Celebration, a 45-kilo sea turtle was freed at Pilar Bay after the flag raising ceremony held in front of Pilar Municipal Hall in Pilar, Capiz. Pilar Mayor Gedeon "ike" Patricio, town employees, and personnel witnessed the activity from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Fishermen captured the sea turtle a few days ago after it was trapped in a fishing net.
