    Excerpt
Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol’s order allowing the sale of imported galunggong (round scad) and other fish in local markets is illegal, a fisherfolk group said yesterday. Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya (Pamalakaya) cited Fisheries Administrative Order (FAO) No. 195 signed in 1991, which allowed importation of fishery and other aquatic products only for canning and processing purposes, not for direct market sale. Pamalakaya said the new administrative order issued by Piñol violated FAO No. 195.
