    Excerpt
The long-gone window pane oyster industry in this province is now being revived through the collaboration of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center-Aquaculture Department (Seafdec-AQD) and the Panay Gulf Development Program (PGDP). The window pane oyster is nationally known as kapis and locally called lampirong. Iloilo used to be one of the 27 natural kapis beds n the Philippines to which access was open to gatherers including women and children.
