    Excerpt
The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center's-Aquaculture Department (Seafdec-AQD) is aggressively pursuing a collaborative effort with the Iloilo first district's Panay Gulf Development Program (PGDP) to revive the long-gone window pane oyster industry in Iloilo. Iloilo used to be one of the 27 natural kapis beds in the Philippines where access is open to gatherers including women and children. Fisherfolks from Oton and Miag-ao claim that they need to abound in the 60's till the 80s, when fishers crudely gathered them by hand.
