    Excerpt
Iloilo has a bright future in aquaculture but that might go snafu anytime because highly toxic chemicals, including those banned, are still used here. A farmer leader said Iloilo the past five years managed to revive freshwater fishes in its streams due to "integrated pest management" (IPM) and "bio-intensive gardening" (BIG). However, Pablo Perez warned that "red-labeled" pesticides, banned for their high toxicity, were still being used in Iloilo.
