That's possible, reads a primer distributed by the Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC), wether the fishes mix with standing rice crops in a pond dug within the same paddy growing rice, or separately on nearby lot. Gov. Arthus Defensor two months ago sent four provincial employees and a farmer for a hands-on training at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Centre (SEAFDEC) in Tigbauan town where they learned not only the basics of freshwater fish culture but as well, the method of breeding and spawning the native catfish in captive conditions.en
