    The eight were charged with violation of the Fisheries Code of the Philippines; assault on a person in authority; and frustrated homicide. The cases were filed Mar 1, 2018 before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office at the Iloilo Hall of Justice. The cases stemmed from a clash between the fishing boat crew members and the Bantay Dagat Task Force afternoon of Feb 27 where five persons were injured and one died.
