The Philippine government has filed a diplomatic protest against China for militarizing the disputed West Philippine Sea (South China Sea), Malacañang said on Thursday. Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. made the statement in a text message to reporters, a day after eight senators urged the government to formally protest China’s construction activities and military installations.
