The Department of Tourism 6 (DOT-6) is planning to make Oton the fishing capital of Iloilo Province. DOT-6 operations officer Maria Fe Jimenea said it is their plan to make Oton, the oldest town in Iloilo, as a favorite fishing venue in Iloilo and the whole country. In fact, this coming April, the DOT-6 will sponsor the very first International Fishing Festival or Pamunit Festival in Oton.
