The campaign of the provincial government against illegal fishing is gaining ground and this must be sustained, said Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. He cited the Bantay Dagat for guarding the coastal resources of the province, especially in northern Iloilo. " Gapanumbalik na ang mga isda sa baybayon sang (Fishes have returned to the seas of) Iloilo," Defensor said, noting the bountiful catch of fishermen. To complement the Bantay Dagat efforts, Defensor said he crafted the artificial reefs program.
