Excerpt
Mayor Ceciron Cawaling of Malay, Aklan won’t back down from any investigation that would be conducted relative to issues hounding tourist haven Boracay Island. Rowen Aguirre, an executive assistant to Mayor Cawaling, said that they are also ready to face charges that will be filed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). “If there would be cases against us, we will face if. If they can prove it, then we will suffer the consequences. But if they can’t, then that’s it,” he added.
