    Excerpt
Our rivers and streams that used to give us abundant and free tilapia, pantat, kalampay, shrimps, etc. are dying. We can also draw lessons from SEAFDEC under Dr. Rolando Platon and the Iloilo Provincial Government under Gov. Arthur Defensor. The governor plans to expand his fishery services by adding to the hatchery in Molo another similar facility in Cabatuab town. SEAFDEC's Dr. Platon says that it takes time to revive aqua-marine resources but for the time being, people can make up for the shortfall by farming fishes backyard or large scale.
