The country's first mariculture park is in Guimaras. The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center/Aquaculture Department (Seafdec/AQD) is readying its launching at Igang Bay, Nueva Valencia town. Seafdec's mariculture park is in collaboration with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the provincial government of Guimaras. The mariculture park is an innovative approach to further aquaculture development.
