    Excerpt
The Department of Agriculture through the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources entered recently into an agreement with the provincial government of Ilocos Norte to develop jointly a one-hectare unproductive sand dune area in this city into a modern high-value-crop aquaculture farm. Governor Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos signed in behalf of the province in Ilocos Norte while BFAR Director Malcolm I. Sarmiento signed for the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. The one-hectare and dune area proposed for aquaculture pilot farm is located in Barangay Mdiladig, Laoag City and owned by Josefino M. Figuracion of Barit, Laoag City.
