    Excerpt
Private investors are urged to invest their resources in initiatives that will protect Panay’s watersheds. During the River Basin Organization “Investment Summit” held at Hotel Del Rio in Iloilo City on Nov. 18, 2016, Dr. Isabelo Montejo, DENR undersecretary for field operations, said government funds are not enough to protect the country’s watersheds.“The DENR is working to get private investors invest in the development of our watersheds. Because if we only rely on government funds, it is not enough to protect our watersheds,” Montejo said.
