Shellfishes in Pilar, Capiz, still have toxicity beyond the regulatory limit, an indication that red tide remains in the municipality, according an aquaculturist here. The regulatory limit for shellfish toxicity is 60 micrograms (ug) per 100 grams (g) of shellfish meat, said Florie May Calmorin of the Capiz Agri Aqua Laboratory. Samples taken from Pilar on Nov.3, however, had the following toxicity: * green mussel- 74 µg per 100 g *oyster- 110 µg *sundial shell- 150 µg; and *clam- 47 µg.en
