    A skills training project on mariculture (growing of marine species) has been launched in Guimaras. The four-month Mariculture Livelihood Skills Development Session (SDS) is being held at the Igang Marine Substation Mariculture Park in Sibunag town under the umbrella of the Joint Mission for Accelerated Nationwide Technology Transfer Program (JMANTTP). SDS is a collaborative effort of the government-hosted, Tigbauan, Iloilo-based Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD), Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR), and Guimaras provincial government.
