Upon the government's endorsement, through President Arroyo, the chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department has been reappointed for an unprecedented four term. Dr. Rolando Platon was reappointed by the Seafdec Council of Directors, the highest policymaking body of the center. Agriculture Undersecretary Cesar Drilon Jr. represents the Philippines in the body.
