    Excerpt
The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the province of Guimaras have pooled their resources in offering "alternative livelihood" to the province's marginal fishers through a mariculture park. Ihang Mariculture Park would initially benefit the fishers in Guimaras. It would also serve as model for other provinces and regions. The park, which was launched on August 4, would work not only as source of livelihood but a model for other local government units to replicate.
