Fish caught in Antique's waters are safe for human consumption, an official assured on Wednesday. Allette Gayatin, Office of the Provincial Agriculture Fisheries division head, said there is no red tide in Antique unlike in other provinces in Region 6. "Fish here is still safe for consumption", Gayatin said. But they advised fishpond operators to manage their fishponds well because the El Niño could worsen the situation.
