Gathering, selling and consuming shellfish from such areas are prohibited, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) said in its Shellfish Bulletin No. 34, Issued on Dec.5. All types of shellfish and alamang gathered from these areas are not safe for human consumption, the BFAR said.en
