    The senates climate change committee chaired by Sen. Loren Legarda said yesterday that the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) would start next year a nationwide coral restoration program. The Senate finance committee that handled, analyzed and proposed the approval by the Senate of the 2016 ₱3.002-trillion budget introduced funding for the DENR's National Coral Restoration Program (NCRP). The General Appropriations act (GAA) was recently signed into law by President Aquino.
