    Excerpt
While looking meticulously at the root and the leaf, the scientist must be aware that he or she is inside the forest. This illustration was given by Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center - Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) Chief Dr. Rolando R. Platon, Ph.D., as to the social responsibility of scientists. This means that the scientists not only does what is "too detailed or technical but applies its relevance and benefit to society".
