| local.seafdecaqd.extract | In order to conserve the dwindling coral reefs in the country, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources along with other national government agencies had launched the first Coral Garden here. According to Malcolm Sarmiento, national director of BFAR, the said coral garden will showcase marine resources in this province and will serve as training ground 37 national scuba divers to enhance ecotourism. Sarmiento was here yesterday for the signing of Memorandum of Understanding for the project along with the regional directors of BFAR, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Aklan government and the SEAFDEC. | en |
