Here is good news to the seaweed industry associations, academic, and research organizations conducting seaweed research and development and other interested parties. The proceedings for the National Seaweed Planning Workshop held August 2-3 last year at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD), here in this town, is finally printed. the workshop was organized through the collaborative efforts of SEAFDEC AQD, and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to formulate a Code of Practice for the seaweed industry to minimize malpractices and to sustain its position in the global market.
