local.description | The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) in cooperation with the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) will launch this summer an innovative training program for aquaculturists and other interested parties. The new training program AquaHealth Online, addresses the need of the Aquaculture industry which has suffered setbacks due to devastation of some lethal diseases, particularly to the shrimp industry. Distance learning is new, convenient, and practical way to gain knowledge and skills in health management in one's own pace, place and time. The only requirement is to have a computer and internet access in order to communicate with teachers and fellow learners. | en |
