Farmers and fishermen hit hard by El Niño are seeking cash assistance from the government. Their leaders Emmanuel Rosario, Roberto Aleroza and Ireneo Cerilla narrated their sad plight in a news conference on Thursday in Quezon City. They said farmers are seeking assistance under a “Cash-for-Work” program,” similar to the program implemented in 2016.
