The Department of Tourism (DoT) pitched environmental protection during the kickoff activities of the 47th Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta Festival in the province of Guimaras. DOT-6 regional director Atty. Helen J. Catalbas said that beyond the flair and fun that the festivities bring, Guimarasnons should not forget their responsibility to protect their environment. The regional tourism chief underscored that sustainable development should be integrated in planning the activities for the province.
