Finfish Hatcheries Inc. (FHI) said the Department of Agriculture (DA) can provide better policies for aquaculture industry, particularly through public-private partnerships focusing on the improvement of land-based fish output. FHI said the campaign to improve fish output can be done on land, citing the company's success in breeding milkfish and the use of technologies developed by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) in Tigbauan, Iloilo. At present, FHI provides roughly half of the milkfish fry needed by fishpond owners nationwide.en
