DOT orients French senators on Boracay rehabilitation

Department of Tourism Undersecretary Arturo Boncato brief delegates of the French Senate last March 2, 2019 at The Lind, Boracay Island about actions taken by the agency during the Boracay rehabilitation. This was attended by Senator Loren Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and members of the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF). Usec. Boncato also presented updates on the average number of tourists in the island. Since the Boracay re-opening, there has been an average of 5,104 daily arrivals and 4,891 daily departures. DENR and DILG also delivered presentations on the rehabilitation efforts conducted.
