The province of Capiz launched the Visayan leg of “Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino,” or the Filipino Food Month during the Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Day celebration in this capital city. Department of Agriculture (DA) regional executive director Remelyn Recoter said the Filipino Food Month celebration is pursuant to Proclamation No. 469 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte in April last year. “Our National Commission for Culture and the Arts is here for the preservation of our own lutong pinoy,” she said on Thursday.
