Iloilo City Mayor Jose S. Espinosa III wants the local government’s regular employees to explore study grants in Australia following a visit last week by Australian Deputy Head of Mission to the Philippines Mat Kimberley. Mr. Kimberley, who was in Iloilo City for the first time, came to visit their scholars and their partners from the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC). Mr. Espinosa said he is optimistic that his meeting with Mr. Kimberley would open more opportunities for the city through strengthened ties with Australia.
