    BFAR opens Fish Conservation Week

    The Department of Agriculture- Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) opened on Oct 16, 2017 the week-long Fish Conservation (FishCon) celebration with ceremonies at Iloilo Provincial Fishery Office, Fishing Port Complex, Tanza Baybay, Iloilo City. The annual FishCon Week intends to raise public awareness on conservation and protection of fisheries and aquatic resources of the country. As part of the celebration, the BFAR led by Regional Director Remia Aparri is set to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with partner agencies in fisheries conservation and protection and local government units.
