    Excerpt
Ocean Adventure is being recognized specifically for its central role in "the Development of a Marine Mammal Stranding response capability through the conduct of Marine Mammal (Cetacean) Stranding Workshops to BFAR professionals, Technical personnel, LGU partners, veterinarians, volunteers, and FARMCs nationwide and the development of the Philippine Marine Mammal Stranding Network, PMMSN." Dolphins and other marine mammals that get stranded on beaches usually are sick and cannot survive in deep water. Sometimes, whole families may stand together when one of their number is sick although most of them may be healthy.
