The fishkill scourge has again affected the town of Anda, days after the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) declared its water in western Pangasinan free of red tide. Nestor Domenden, BFAR regional director, said the fishkill was discovered along a kilometer of Kakiputan Channel flowing off Siapar village on Christmas Day, prompting fish cage operators to harvest their stocks. The operators began selling fish at P30 to P40 per kilo at the fish port in nearby Bolinao town.
