    Excerpt
Fish kill has been reported in the coastal village of Hoskyn in Jordan town as the provincial government here appealed for assistance from the owner of the sunken M/V Sportivo. Local authorities believed the oil spill from the ill-fated cargo ship caused the fish kill. Only Brgy. Hoskyn has so far reported a fish kill but the provincial government is not leaving anything to chance, stressed Engr. Raymund Moderes, spokesperson of Gov. Samuel Gumarin. Marginal Fishermen were in danger of losing their livelihood, he warned. Bunker oil sludges were noticed on the dead fishes.
