    Excerpt
Large "Imelda" fish floated belly in the Pasig,k while the surface of Bicol's Lake Buhi was nearly covered with dead tilapia. In southern Metro Manila, large milkfish or bangus are being sold for as low as P10 per kilo as cases of fishkill were reported across Luzon in the wake of typhoon "Basyang". In the affected communities, residents attributed the fishkill not just to fish pens that overflowed at the height of the typhoon, leaving fish floundering in shallow waters, but also toxic waste borne by strong currents tot he fishing areas.
