    Excerpt
This crab is a cannibal. And the government wants more of them. The Blue Swimming Crabs, also known as Portunuspelagicus, is well known for its cannibalistic habits. It preys on other weak crabs, those with missing appendages and those who are in molt or when the crabs outgrow their cover.
