This seemingly nondescript town is the home of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec). Known as the Tigbauan Main Station, the 40-hectare complex includes research laboratories, hatcheries and broodstock tanks for experiments in artificial propagation, feed development, and health management. A must-see is the Fish World Museum, the only kind in the country, that gives visitors an appreciation of the rich aquatic resources in the region.
