Bantay Dagat operatives have arrested four fishers on board a motorboat in Roxas City. The fishers were allegedly using active gear without permit from the local government – in violation of City Ordinance No. 016-2007 – a police report showed. Under City Ordinance No. 016-2007 (Utilization, Management, Conservation, and Regulation of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Roxas City), fishers at the municipal waters must acquire a special permit from the local government, police said.
