The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) said it is baffled by zero anti-illegal fishing operations by the Estancia municipal police. Based on IPPO records, Estancia, a coastal town, did not contribute to the 28 operations conducted in the entire province from January to September 2017. “Yun yung pinagtataka namin. Yung Estancia zero po sa illegal fishing,” said IPPO director Senior Supt Marlon Tayaba. Estancia in Northern Iloilo is known as a rich fishing ground and is one of the suppliers of seafood in the province.en
