DA chief vows to improve agriculture, fisheries output

Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol vowed to improve the production in the agriculture and fisheries of the country. Piñol was one of the guest speakers of the 11th National Shrimp Congress held at the SMX Convention Center here on Nov 16, 2017. In his speech to the attendees, Piñol said the Philippines’ aquatic resources alone are abundant but fishermen cannot take advantage of it as the fisheries industry has been “long neglected” and “taken for granted” by previous administrations.
