The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Iloilo station simulated a search and rescue operation and oil spill response at the Iloilo River on Sept. 30 as part of the National Maritime Week celebration. Some 120 students of St. Therese – MTC Colleges witnessed the demonstration facilitated by 80 coastguards. “Very successful event,” said Lieutenant gid Commander Ramil Palabrica of PCG-Iloilo.
