Sen. Cynthia Villar has raised concerns about the Philippines' seas resources becoming depleted. Villar said she wants to review the draft plan and various inputs and recommendations of industry players on the National Tuna Management Plan to prevent bodies of water from being exploited. Citing the 2010 Census of Marine Life, she said 90 percent of the large fish populations are depleted by overfishing.
