Fifty fishermen from coastal barangays in Iloilo City received fishing gears from the City Agriculturist Office and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-6, Nov. 27, 2017. Pangantihon said the fishing gears include 100 meters of gill net with sinker and floats. The gears will complete the fishing equipment of beneficiaries who received in October 2017 motorized fiberglass boats from BFAR through F/B Pagbabago Livelihood Development Program. As counterpart, the fishermen shall assemble the nets, the same way they constructed their boats after completing the boat construction training. The fishing gear distribution is another component of the project.
