    Excerpt
An overwhelming majority of Filipinos reject the country’s policy of “doing nothing” against China’s intrusion in the South China Sea (West Philippine Sea), a survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS) found. The survey, conducted from September 15 to 23, was released on Tuesday, the start of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the country. The poll showed that 84 percent of Filipinos said it is “not right” for the government to leave China alone with its infrastructure and military presence in contested territories.
