    US-PH $25-million fisheries partnership launched in Iloilo

    To promote sustainable fisheries, a partnership program between the United States and Philippine governments was launched here recently. The $25-million Fish Right program will be implemented over a period of five years by the University of Rhode Island in collaboration with six implementing partners in the Philippines in three program sites – Visayan Sea, Calamianes Island Group and south Negros. The launching on Nov. 20 was attended by US Embassy deputy chief of mission John Law, among others.
