    Excerpt
Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. renewed his call for coastal communities to band together and police their territorial waters to, alongside the Provincial Bantay Dagat, fight illegal fishing. Marañon was in the coastal village of Punta Mesa in this northern town on Sunday to turn over a newly acquired patrol boat to the Bantay Dagat. The boat was complete with life jackets, raincoats, a fire extinguisher, a life ring and a megaphone, all amounting to P769,999.
