    Excerpt
Uncompensated victims of the 2006 oil spill in Guimaras can no longer claim from the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPC Funds). This is based on the incident report posted on the official website of IOPC Funds, an international organization based in London, England that identifies and compensates economic losses of oil spill victims. During the 7th commemoration of the country’s worst oil spill disaster in Nueva Valencia town last August 11, almost 1,000 victims are still clamoring to avail financial compensation.
